Mentor/Coaching
One of the biggest mistakes that barrel racers often make is that they spend so much time training their
horses that they don't take the time to train themselves.
Personal development is often missed or overlooked in all parts of life and competition.
So many people learn a little, then think they know a lot and close off their mind to learning about new
things. Its important to know that no one knows it all about horses or barrel racing.
Its important to keep an open mind and watch those that are successful in barrel racing, watch and learn
from them.
I started coaching fellow competitors back in 2001 with a small group of youth. Of the youth I coached their
performance improved and became some of the top competitors in their level at their shows. I also coach the buyers of my horses
that I have trained because I want them to be able to learn how the horse works, performs and give them a good beginning to
becoming successful with a horse that has been trained by me. I currently coach a fellow competitor who has had more success
in the last 8-9 months of my guidance than she ever had before.
I like to see the people I help do well. It means I'm doing my job and I'm doing it right.
I have 15 years experience as a competitor and trainer. Get advice and help from someone
